I am thrilled to announce that I am now an official coach with Factor 9 Coaching, where I am delighted to be working alongside my very own coach, Scott McMillan.  I have often stated that Scott’s coaching is impeccable, and I am very excited for the opportunity to combine my experience as a professional athlete with his exceptional coaching expertise!  In June of 2009, I put aside my teaching career to embark on a new road as a professional triathlete.  I am now very much looking forward to integrating my experiences in the classroom and on the race circuit, towards helping others achieve their own athletic goals and personal fulfillment! 

What are the 9 Factors of Athlete Success?

Factor 9 Coaching believes there are 9 essential ingredients to optimal training and race preparation:

Training, Recovery, Race Fuelling, Nutrition, Equipment & Technique, Injury Prevention & Speedy Recovery, Mental Training, Life Balance, Race Preparation & Execution

These 9 factors are an integral part of the Factor 9 Coaching philosophy, and are embedded within all our coaching programs in order to launch our athletes to the next level!

 


Experience and Education:

B.A. Psychology & B.Ed.:  University of Alberta

6 years of teaching experience both overseas and in Canada

Professional athlete racing on the Ironman/70.3 circuit as of 2009

Some key racing accomplishments include:

  • 3rd place overall finish and fastest run split at IM Canada 2009 (debut Ironman as a pro)
  •  Multiple bike/run course records as a professional
  • Former Canadian National Team member for the marathon distance with a marathon PR of 2:49
